Dutch-born
artist formally known as Wessel Nimmer (Wessel
Muller). Always looking for faster ways to change ideas into
forms, his objects and paintings are mostly made out of building-
and officematerials: memo-stickers, glues, floor- and wallpaints,
adhesive tape and markers. Often his works combine wordplaying, images
and a graphic use of color.
Recently he builds installations out of recycled wood painted monochrome
grey, which serve at the same time as furniture and barricades.
In his "3-chord-visuals", based on digital photography,
drawings and bitmaps in short graphic loops, he strives for similar
direct, rough-edged, but nevertheless esthetic results.
After studying art in Utrecht, he co-founded a performance- band called
Ijime, exposed his work on many occasions in several european countries
and restlessly changed studios in the Netherlands before, in 2000,
settling in Berlin. Since 2002 he collaborates with Joerg
Suermann in JPECH.

Nimmer (Wessel Muller), sucht st”ndig neue Wege seine Ideen schnell
in Formen umzusetzen. Seine Objekte und Bilder gestaltet er meistens
aus Bau- und B¸ro-Materialien: Lack, Klebstoffe, Boden- und Wand-Farbe,
Klebeband und Stifte. Die Arbeiten schlieþen Wortspiele, gegenst”ndliche
Bilder und grafisch eingesetzte Farbe ein. Seit Neuestem baut er als
M–bel oder Barrikade anzusehende Objekte, die er aus monochromgrau
gestrichenem Sperrholz herstellt. In seinen ì3-Akkorde-Visualsì, meistens
basierend auf Zeichnungen, Digitalfotografie und Bitmaps in kurzen
Grafik-Loops, untersucht er die Wirkung bewegter Bilder, des Lichtes
und die Sprache der Werbung. Auch hier strebt er nach direkten, manchmal
scharfkantigen, aber immer ”sthetischen Resultaten. Nach seinem Studium
in Utrecht gr¸ndete er die Performance-Band namens ìIjimeì mit. Bei
mehreren Anl”ssen in verschiedenen europ”ischen L”ndern stellte er
seine Arbeit aus. Im Jahre 2000 lieþ er sich in Berlin nieder, um
